Being a matchmaker is an important responsibility. You have a commitment to your members. Your work with JMontreal is vitally important for the community and Jewish continuity.

Each matchmaker dedicates time to meet with their allocated members to get to know them better, to understand what they are looking for in a partner and to get them comfortable with the system. From here, matchmakers are able to search our database to find other members who meet a member’s partner criteria. Once they find an appropriate match, they call the member to discuss the idea, and then through the system suggest the match to the members. Once the members accept the suggestion, matchmakers will then follow-up with their members to determine how their meeting went.

Our members have joined JMontreal because they want our help! Our Jewish singles have already taken the first step to finding someone special by filling out a profile on jmontreal.com. Now it is up to us to take the next step in helping them find that special compatible person.

Matchmaker Criteria

Children are not eligible to use our services, and we ask that minors (under the age of 18) do not submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, you can use this service only in conjunction with your parents or guardians.

• I am passionate and dedicated to matching Jewish singles
• I am married or in a permanent long-term relationship
• I have at least 6 hours available each week to dedicate to matchmaking
• I have my own computer and Internet access and I am not technologically-challenged when it comes to Internet browsing and emails
• I am prepared to volunteer for the next 12 months as a matchmaker
• I live in the Greater Montreal area in order to meet potential members
